Empowering Confidence in Students with ADHD
At The Winston School in Dallas, we believe that learning differences, such as ADHD, should be understood, supported, and even celebrated. Our prek–12 college preparatory program is built intentionally for bright students who need a different approach to thrive. We help students rediscover their confidence, develop critical skills, and prepare for a successful future in college and beyond.
Whether they’ve struggled with attention or reading in other school environments, our students find a place where they’re seen, supported, and celebrated. They leave Winston not only with strong academic skills, but with the confidence to take on what’s next.
How Winston Support's Your Child with ADHD
Tailored Instruction for ADHD
With small class sizes, individualized learning plans, and teachers trained in ADHD-friendly strategies, Winston helps students stay focused, organized, and engaged. Instruction is hands-on and flexible, incorporating movement, technology, and executive function coaching to support attention and independence.
Learning Plans That Adapt to Your Child
Our Testing & Evaluation team works collaboratively with faculty to craft a personalized learning plan for each student designed to strengthen literacy skills and build academic confidence. Our team works collaboratively to monitor growth and adjust instruction as needed.
Small Classes, Big Results
Small class sizes at The Winston School provide students with ADHD the focused attention and structure they need to thrive. With fewer students per classroom, teachers can build strong, supportive relationships and offer frequent check-ins, redirection, and encouragement. This setting makes it easier to notice when a student is losing focus, feeling overwhelmed, or ready for a new challenge — allowing for immediate, personalized support. The smaller, calmer environment also reduces distractions and helps students feel seen, understood, and more in control of their learning experience.
Resources for the Whole Learner
Winston offers executive function coaching, a sensory-friendly environment, and assistive technology integrated into the school day so students with ADHD have the tools to succeed inside and outside the classroom.
“Moving our bright ADHD son to The Winston School was one of the best decisions we ever made! He hated school before and now LOVES it. He is more confident and his self‑esteem has skyrocketed… They encourage critical and creative thinking and keep the kids engaged.”
