Empowering Confidence in Students with Autism
At The Winston School in Dallas, we believe that learning differences, such as Autism, should be understood, supported, and even celebrated. Our prek–12 college preparatory program is built intentionally for bright students who need a different approach to thrive. We help students rediscover their confidence, develop critical skills, and prepare for a successful future in college and beyond.
Whether they’ve struggled with social connection or sensory challenges in other school environments, our students find a place where they’re seen, supported, and celebrated. They leave Winston not only with strong academic skills, but with the confidence to take on what’s next.
How Winston Support's Your Child with Autism

Tailored Instruction for Autism
With small class sizes, individualized learning plans, and teachers trained in autism-friendly strategies, Winston helps students build confidence, connection, and a love of learning. Instruction is hands-on and flexible, incorporating structure, visual supports, and social-emotional coaching to encourage growth and independence.

Learning Plans That Adapt to Your Child
Our Testing & Evaluation team works collaboratively with faculty to craft a personalized learning plan for each student designed to strengthen literacy skills and build academic confidence. Our team works collaboratively to monitor growth and adjust instruction as needed.

Small Classes, Big Results
Small class sizes at The Winston School provide students with autism the supportive environment and focused attention they need to thrive. With fewer students per classroom, teachers can build strong relationships and offer consistent guidance, encouragement, and structure. This setting makes it easier to notice when a student is feeling overwhelmed, needs a sensory break, or is ready for a new challenge — allowing for immediate, personalized support. The smaller, calmer environment also fosters comfort and confidence, helping students feel seen, understood, and in control of their learning experience.

Resources for the Whole Learner
Winston offers executive function coaching, a sensory-friendly environment, and assistive technology integrated into the school day so students with Autism have the tools to succeed inside and outside the classroom.
